Artist's Comments

Okay: the actual title is "Walt Whitman Contemplates the Heavens," but the thingie wouldn't let me type all that.

The quote is from one of Whitman's poems which we read in class.

A melding of poetry and art.

I likes it! *insta-fav*

Good job! I really like the art by itself, and the positioning of the quote is perfect!

This is really cool, I love all the details and patterns :D

The art is dazzling. Too bad I HATE Walt Witman. Stupid industrial age poet that was all, "Build more railroad! Chop down more trees! Manifest Destiny, WHEE!" ...<_<;; Maybe hate is too strong a word, but I really don't like a lot of his poetry. I like the quote you used, though. And the grass, fwee! I want grass like that in my backyard.

The real reason I drew this was cuz we had a sub teacher who I really liked and they seemed to especially like this poem. This picture was for him.
Ooookaaayyy... Let me tell you a little story about that grass: I was working on this picture in Chemistry class when my friend walks up and says, "Is that PUBIC HAIR??" x_x I've been scarred ever since.
But I'm glad you like it, anyway :D
:iconraymonious:
Aaahahahaha, pubic hair... well, I still like it.
